I do work a favor, and I get screwed...figures

I can't sleep, again. Its been quite a day. Last night my boss told me to be at work at 8:30am to give a demo lesson to a head-honcho of some retail store. The thing is, this guy wants me to teach him English, but to speak to him in German. My boss sort of mentioned it in passing on Saturday, but was not available after the quick mention of it for me to discuss it with her.

I had decided it wasn't worth the pay, and if the company wants me to use my German skills I would have to be compensated for it. I also didn't want to do it because I don't get home from work until 10:30pm on Monday nights and I would have to leave my house at around 7:15 am to make sure I was at work on time...Oh yeah, and the other STUPID catch-travel to work, then take a cab to this guy's office, which makes NO sense because his office is midway between my house and work....um, yeah.

So my boss begged me. I told her I would do it, but I wasn't happy about it. Boss said she would pick me up in a taxi at 8:30am and we would go to this guy's office together. I only slept a few hours last night, I had things on my mind. I knew this was a big business deal for my company, which I can't stand...

So this morning my boss is about 20 minutes late because of traffic. She didn't leave early enough. So we get to this guy's office at 9:25am, not 9am. And this guy refuses to see us and his assistant says he'll go to another language school. So I have to ride to work in the taxi with my boss and then take a 45 minute bus home. So yes, the bitch wasted my whole morning and she may not even pay me for the 1 demo lesson, even though it was HER fault it didn't happen.

So I come home at 11am, very tired and not in a good mood. After breakfast I take a 1 hour nap that turned into 4 hours...how does that happen? I don't have an alarm clock, so A set his phone alarm and didn't hear it go off, or turned it off, I don't know which one.

And I leave for work an hour later. At work, Aveil says, "So I heard you blew it today." WHAT??? I BLEW IT??? This is what the boss said to him. If she said it to him, then she also said it to her boss. Oh I'm so sick of this job...

Regardless of what she told her superiors, she can't fire me. My students like me and she's short on teachers. Including the one who will be leaving without telling her. It just makes my bargaining position with the company more difficult. I had been thinking of telling this student in German that the company sucks anyway.

Oh and by the way, she's not a good rep for the company anyway. She smells in the morning. Really she does. At least I showered and didn't have sleep goo in my eye. Plus I was dressed appropriately to go into this office, she was wearing jeans with hooker boots.

So after this weekend I will be working on my CV and praying for the best when I send it out. Its a European thing where you don't send a resume, but a 2+ page CV. Probably due to the general professional incompetence of Europeans.
