book for pleasure!

Tonight I finished a paperback novel I started yesterday. I haven't finished a book so fast in YEARS!!!! It was left behind by Pete, the American who lived with us for 6 weeks. Its a fantasy book of witches & wizards with a feminist twist to it. I obviously enjoyed in very much, despite the errors in syntax and some difficult to understand passages (I don't think this book was edited).

It's so nice to enjoy reading again!

Yesterday my Level 1 class started-Sat & Sun from 2-5pm. Yes, Level 1, start from scratch. I was nervous about it, but it really is easier than the higher levels. There are 5 women in the class-NO MEN! (A rarity for my company!) 1 woman has kids my age, the rest are early to mid-20's, so its a very pleasant class, full of smiles. No stuffy & difficult personalities.

Spring is definitely in the air here. We went out Friday evening, it was 15 degrees celcius (60 F), yet it felt chilly, everyone was in still winter coats. Its been a mild winter, no complaints. I think the summer will be a scorcher though!

Hey, me too! I just read *two* novels recently, for the first time in ages, and started a third yesterday. I think you'd enjoy one of them: Middlesex, by Jeffrey Eugenides, about an intersexed girl growing up in Detroit in the 1970s and discovering her identity.

I just started John Irving's latest, Until I Find You yesterday.

Hope things are going well for you.
